Make a Difference: Create safter communities with a Community-based Crime Action grant

Applications for combined Rounds 1 and 2 of the Queensland Government’s 2024-25 Community-based Crime Action (CBCA) grants opened on 17 June 2024, with funding of up to $2.5 million available across the state.

Grants of up to $75,000 are available for short-term programs that address areas of community concern. Local communities, businesses and organisations are encouraged to take part in trialing new ideas and locally driven projects that address prevention and early intervention solutions to help young people create positive, lasting connections within their communities.

We are looking for projects that complement existing local responses and help to achieve better outcomes for young people, their families, and the broader community.

Applications closed on 12pm, 15 July 2024.

Community-based Crime Action grants – applications now open

Combined Rounds 1 and 2 of the Queensland Government’s 2024-25 Community-based Crime Action (CBCA) grants opened on 17 June 2024, with funding of up to $2.5 million available for communities across Queensland.

Grants of up to $75,000 are available for short-term, community-led projects that positively engage young people and create safer communities. This round, we will be accepting double the number of successful applications.

Local businesses and community organisations are encouraged to collaborate with the Queensland Government in developing initiatives that respond to localised crime issues with community-led, culturally responsive prevention and early intervention programs.

By developing projects that align with the needs of young people, their families, and the broader community, we can make a difference and help young people rebuild their lives and connection with community.
