The Targeted Responses to Youth Crime grants will support innovative solutions to reduce youth crime and re-offending, that build community confidence and form lasting, meaningful changes and connections for young people involved in the youth justice system.
Solutions will be designed using evidence and community knowledge and delivered to meet the needs of young people, their families, and the broader community.
All community members – family and kin, Elders, mentors, local businesses, not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises – can be involved in supporting young people and influencing positive and long-lasting change to reduce offending behaviour.

Targeted Responses to Youth Crime – grant applications now open
Applications for the Queensland Government’s 2023–24 Targeted Responses to Youth Crime grants are now open, with up to $2.5 million in funds available for communities across Queensland.
One-off grants up to $300,000 are available for short-term projects aimed at young people at high and very high risk or re-offending, as well as serious repeat offenders, to change their behaviours, improve their connection with community, and increase community safety.
The Queensland Government is seeking to engage local communities, businesses and organisations in trialling new ideas and projects that address the drivers of youth offending and related issues across the state.
Applicants are encouraged to develop proposals that are designed in consultation with the community and can be delivered to meet the needs of the young people, their families, and the broader community.
